Customizing Transformer Toys
Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum but have been collecting TF toys since the first movie came out, as well as the show. I've since become a fan of the old cartoons as well.
Anyway, I've seen a lot of stuff on DA where people repaint or touch-up their figures to make them look more movie accurate, and I really like the way they look after people get through with them, it's really very nice looking. I enjoy painting and do a lot of stuff with sculpey and acrylics, but have been wanting to try a new hobby in my spare time and this looks promising to me, especially since I already have a slew of these toys. Does anyone know of any places that have tutorials or guides for doing this sort of stuff, or links on youtube perhaps? I've done searches but I never seem to come up with much, and I don't want to dive into it without knowing what I'm doing first, and what kind of paints/supplies are good to use. |

but serious lo...there should be a thread on how to customise TF where ppl can discuss and share knowledge/techniques on customising/painting lo....

Yeah, I agree! I really just want to know about the basic process. I've seen one step-by-step on youtube where a guy does a Megatron repaint, but I'm not sure if that's the way I'd do it for every figure.
